HanchorBio Advances HCB101 Global Partnering Opportunities at BIO-Europe 2026
Expanding clinical evidence and macrophage-directed combination potential open new pathways for global collaboration.
TAIPEI, SHANGHAI, and SAN FRANCISCO — October 27, 2026 — HanchorBio, Inc. (TWSE: 7827), a global clinical-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation immunotherapies for oncology and immune-mediated diseases, today announced its participation in BIO-Europe 2026, taking place November 9–11 in Cologne, Germany.
Since BIO-Europe Spring, HanchorBio has achieved significant milestones, including its Taiwan Stock Exchange Innovation Board listing, expanding HCB101 clinical evidence, U.S. FDA feedback supporting a randomized registrational development strategy in second-line gastric cancer, U.S. IND clearance for HCB303, and strategic collaborations with InxMed and Aston Sci.
These advances position HanchorBio to pursue a broader opportunity: developing HCB101 as a potential macrophage-directed immunotherapy backbone while expanding global partnerships and the value of its FBDB™ platform.
HCB101: From Clinical Evidence to Global Franchise Potential
HCB101, HanchorBio’s lead engineered SIRPα–IgG4 Fc fusion protein, is designed to restore macrophage-mediated tumor clearance through CD47–SIRPα checkpoint blockade while reducing red blood cell binding.
In second-line gastric/gastroesophageal junction (GC/GEJ) cancer, an October 2026 clinical update reported a preliminary 50.0% objective response rate (11/22) and 100% disease control rate with HCB101 plus ramucirumab and paclitaxel. U.S. FDA feedback supported the proposed randomized Phase 2b dose-optimization lead-in followed by a confirmatory Phase 3 trial with overall survival as the primary endpoint.
Beyond gastric cancer, preliminary clinical observations across colorectal cancer (CRC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), together with encouraging preclinical combination findings, support further investigation of HCB101 across complementary treatment approaches.
Approaches under consideration include tumor-targeting antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), PD-1/VEGF bispecifics, therapeutic cancer vaccines, and tumor microenvironment-modulating agents.
HanchorBio believes HCB101’s potential value extends beyond any single indication, with opportunities to build a broader immunotherapy program through scientifically validated combinations and global development partnerships.
From Scientific Innovation to Strategic Partnerships
HanchorBio is advancing a partner-enabled development strategy that combines HCB101’s macrophage-directed mechanism with complementary therapeutic technologies.
Recent collaborations with InxMed, involving FAK inhibition, and Aston Sci., involving therapeutic cancer vaccines, reflect the Company’s expanding approach to combination development.
At BIO-Europe, HanchorBio plans to continue ongoing scientific discussions and explore potential new collaborations focused on preclinical evaluation, clinical co-development, drug supply, joint research, and strategic licensing.
The objective is to translate complementary science into defined development programs, supported by appropriate experimental evidence, clinical strategies, and shared development capabilities.
FBDB™: Extending Innovation Beyond HCB101
HCB101 provides a clinical foundation for HanchorBio’s proprietary Fc-Based Designer Biologics (FBDB™) platform, which integrates Fc engineering and multifunctional molecular design to address complementary immune pathways.
The Company’s expanding pipeline includes:
- HCB303, a SIRPα × PD-L1 × TIGIT trispecific immunotherapy that received U.S. FDA IND clearance in October 2026.
- HCB206, a CD20 × SIRPα bispecific being developed for B-cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases, with planned oncology and autoimmune IND submissions subject to completion of the required development work.
- HCB301, a clinical-stage SIRPα × PD-L1 × TGFβ trispecific undergoing continued safety and development evaluation.
These programs demonstrate HanchorBio’s broader molecular engineering capabilities and provide additional opportunities for independent development and strategic partnerships.
