HanchorBio Advances Its Myeloid Enhancer Platform at BioCon China Expo 2026
HCB101 provides the clinical anchor for a broader platform spanning cancer combinations,
new therapeutic programs and autoimmune disease
TAIPEI, SHANGHAI, and SAN FRANCISCO — September 14, 2026 — HanchorBio Inc. (TWSE: 7827), a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation immunotherapies through its proprietary FBDB™ platform, today announced that Founder and Chairman Dr. Scott Liu will present at BioCon China Expo 2026 on September 15.
His presentation, “Reinvigorating Immunotherapy through a Myeloid Enhancer Platform,” will outline HanchorBio’s strategy to use HCB101 as the clinical anchor for a broader myeloid platform, extending the biology across multiple cancer combinations, additional pipeline programs, and autoimmune disease.
HCB101 is the clinical anchor. The broader opportunity is to extend the same myeloid biology across indications, treatment combinations, and FBDB™-derived programs.
Beyond T Cells: Adding Another Layer to Immunotherapy
PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitors transformed cancer treatment by reinvigorating T-cell immunity, but many patients still do not respond or eventually develop resistance.
HanchorBio’s Myeloid Enhancer Platform is designed to activate upstream innate immunity and add a complementary layer to existing cancer therapy.
The Company’s lead clinical asset, HCB101, is an engineered SIRPα–Fc fusion protein designed to block the CD47–SIRPα “don’t eat me” checkpoint and restore macrophage-mediated tumor-cell phagocytosis.
Beyond direct tumor clearance, macrophage activation may promote antigen processing and presentation, remodel the tumor microenvironment, and support downstream T-cell responses — creating a mechanistic bridge between innate and adaptive immunity.
HanchorBio is evaluating HCB101 as a potential myeloid immune backbone alongside PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors, Fc-active antibodies, VEGF-directed therapies, ADCs, chemotherapy, and vaccines.
One Clinical Anchor. Multiple Paths for Expansion.
Early clinical signals with HCB101 have been observed across gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, supporting continued evaluation across multiple tumor types and treatment settings.
The ongoing HCB101-201 Phase 1b/2a study (NCT06771622) is evaluating HCB101 with standard-of-care regimens across multiple cohorts, creating opportunities for indication expansion, new combinations, and strategic collaboration.
HanchorBio is also extending the same myeloid biology beyond oncology through HCB206, its next-generation CD20 × SIRPα program for autoimmune disease. Preclinical studies have demonstrated B-cell depletion across peripheral blood and lymphoid tissues, together with reductions in disease-associated biomarkers in systemic lupus erythematosus models.
One Clinical Anchor. A Much Broader Platform.
“HCB101 is important not only because of what one molecule may achieve, but because of what it can teach us about an entire area of immune biology,” said Scott Liu, PhD, Founder and Chairman of HanchorBio. “If we can establish myeloid activation clinically, we can build from that foundation across indications, combinations, new molecules, and new diseases.”
Through BioCon China Expo 2026, HanchorBio aims to engage global biopharma and industry partners around strategic collaboration, combination development, and global expansion of its Myeloid Enhancer Platform.

BioCon China Expo 2026
